Museums & culture in Florenz

For a city of its size Florence has an unusually dense museum landscape: the Uffizi Gallery with the world's largest collection of Renaissance art, the Galleria dell'Accademia with Michelangelo's David, Palazzo Pitti with the Boboli Gardens, the Bargello Museum and the Museo dell'Opera del Duomo. Almost all of them sell online tickets through several portals – which means different final prices for the same admission.

One planning note: the Uffizi and the Accademia practically always require a timed-entry reservation with a booking fee of around 4 euros. In those cases an online ticket mainly makes sense to skip the queue or secure a fixed time slot.
